Poultry

It has a regulatory effect on the intestinal microflora of chicks, and can reduce the number of pathogenic microorganisms such as Escherichia coli and Salmonella in the cecum. It can improve the humoral immunity and cellular immunity of broilers.

Yeast glucan can effectively replace Virginiamycin as a growth promoter in broilers from birth to 38 days of age. The study found that adding 100mg/kg of -glucan to the diet of laying hens can significantly improve the immunity of laying hens, reduce the cholesterol content of egg yolk, improve egg quality, and have no effect on production performance, and its effect is better than antibiotics.

Aquaculture

 Growth properties:

Feeding beta glucan alone can significantly improve the growth performance and feed utilization of red sea bream, and it has a synergistic effect with bacteria. Glucan can be used as an effective additive for sea cucumber feed, but the dosage must be considered.

 

 Immune properties:

For Schizothorax prenanti, low-dose (500-1000mg/kg) beta-glucan can improve enzyme activity, complement C₃and IgM levels, intestinal SIgA levels, and enhance immune function. But high doses reduce immune function.

For Carp beta glucan was able to increase the phagocytic activity of blood cells and the activity of serum lysozyme.
