Nowadays, most people's intestines have become a spoiled, willful bad boy, who gets a little tantrum for no reason. If you search "diarrhea" on the Internet, you will find that diarrhea troubles many people.

Diarrhea is divided into acute diarrhea and chronic diarrhea. If it is acute diarrhea, it is better to see a doctor; if it is long-term chronic diarrhea, it is intestinal sensitivity, and intestinal maintenance needs to be strengthened. Prebiotics are very good things to regulate the intestinal environment.

Long-term diarrhea is actually intestinal dysfunction. Studies have shown that intestinal dysfunction is closely related to temporary or persistent flora imbalance. More than 400 species of bacteria live in the human intestine. These normal intestinal flora are mainly composed of beneficial bacteria, harmful bacteria and neutral bacteria.

The so-called flora imbalance means that the balance of flora in the intestine deviates from the potentially beneficial or health-promoting beneficial bacteria and turns to the increase of harmful bacteria.

Mannan oligosaccharides are oligosaccharides with a degree of polymerization between 2 and 10, which are formed by connecting D-mannose through β-1, 4 glycosidic bonds to form a main chain and glucose on the main chain or side chain. It is a new type of prebiotic that can activate and proliferate bifidobacteria and lactic acid bacteria in large quantities and regulate the balance of microecology. Mannan oligosaccharides have the characteristics of low caloric value, low sweetness, no tooth decay, and no increase in blood sugar concentration. It is a new generation of functional food.

Advantages of mannan oligosaccharides:

1. Intestinal protection.

It has a unique mannose receptor binding site, which preferentially binds to the mannose receptors on the surface of human intestinal cells, preventing pathogenic microorganisms from adhering to the intestinal mucosal epithelium of animals and achieving the elimination of pathogenic bacteria.

2. Regulate the balance of microecology. Mannose is not digested and absorbed in the human gastrointestinal tract, but directly enters the large intestine, and selectively provides a culture matrix for beneficial bacteria such as bifidobacteria in the intestine, quickly stimulating the reproduction of beneficial bacteria, improving the vitality of beneficial bacteria, improving the intestinal microecological environment, and improving various physiological functions.

3. Prevent constipation. Bifidobacteria ferment oligosaccharides to produce a large number of short-chain fatty acids, which can stimulate intestinal peristalsis, improve intestinal function, increase fecal moisture and maintain a certain osmotic pressure, thereby preventing constipation.

4. Prevent obesity. Mannan oligosaccharides are difficult to be decomposed by enzymes in the digestive tract and difficult to be digested and absorbed by the human body. According to measurements, their calorific value is below 1.5 cal/g. After ingestion by the human body, it will not cause obesity. At the same time, because it is similar to a water-soluble fiber, it can play a role in lowering serum cholesterol and improving blood lipids.

5. Improve immunity. Mannan oligosaccharides are immunogenic, effectively stimulate immune responses, and can bind to the surface of toxins, viruses and fungal cells, enhance cellular and humoral immune responses, and prevent bacteria and diseases.

6. Inhibit cancer cell function. Normal fasting gastric juice contains 102-105 bacteria, among which the destruction of normal flora causes damage to the gastric mucosa and causes gastric ulcers, and can also cause the colonization and massive reproduction of Helicobacter pylori, causing precancerous lesions such as gastritis, thereby causing gastric cancer. Therefore, mannan oligosaccharides may be an effective way to prevent and treat gastric cancer by regulating the imbalance of gastrointestinal flora (promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria, inhibiting the customization and reproduction of Helicobacter pylori) and directly killing or inhibiting gastric cancer cells.

7. Remove free radicals. The occurrence of many diseases is related to lipid peroxidation caused by free radicals (MDA is the final metabolite of lipid peroxidation, which indirectly reflects the degree of cell damage). Mannan oligosaccharides can directly remove active oxygen free radicals through complex reduction reactions, increase their activity through metabolic pathways in the body, reduce the MDA content in plasma, liver, small intestine, and pancreas, and can prevent, control or delay the occurrence of diseases.
